Shinachiku Uzumaki
Shinachiku Uzumaki is a fan made character derived from the Naruto franchise. Shinachiku is the most widely known NaruSaku child. He has joint ownership with the entire NaruSaku fandom, allowing him to be interpreted in many different ways.

Personality
His personality varies from person to person, but he’s often described as being very similar to his grandfather, Minato Namikaze, but if appropriately provoked, his mother’s temper.
Appearance
Although he is drawn many different ways, his most common appearance is with Sakura's green eyes and hair a shade of blond. He also appears with pink hair and blue eyes, or red hair with green or blue eyes.
Background
When the final chapters were released, the name “Shinachiku” gained extreme popularity. Many NaruSaku fans collectively decided to use ‘Shinachiku’ as one of Naruto’s children. Not all NaruSaku fans 100% agree with the name, but it is very widely used. It is often stated that no one has ever seen a fanon character so widely accepted by an entire fandom.
His name originates from an interview with Kishimoto around the time Road to Ninja – The Naruto Movie was released. When asked what he would name Naruto’s child, Kishimoto jokingly mentioned how many wondered if he would continue to a new series with Naruto’s son, and suggested the he would name him ‘Shinachiku’.
F: If Naruto ever has a son what name will you give him? Kish: If Naruto has a son what name hell have…hmm…I used to think Menma would be fine. people often jokingly asked me "Won't you start Menma when you finish Naruto?" "You should write about Naruto's son, Naruto the 2nd" or "Why not write Menma?" but now I used the name for the movie, that...ummmm…(the name of Naruto's son will be) Shinachiku* I guess.
Many Naruto fans, especially NaruSaku fans, decided to start using the name for fanon children, but the name never really took off. Most people favored names like “Minato” or “Jiraiya” for Naruto’s first born son, and “Kushina” for his first born daughter.
Although not much has been written in depth about his ambitions, many NaruSaku fans believe Shinachiku does not desire to be Hokage after his father. He admires and respects the position, but he wishes to find his own path out of his father’s (and his mother’s) shadow. He draws parallels to Konohamaru who wanted to be called Konohamaru and not the ‘honorable grandson’.

Sakura Haruno
While Shinachiku deeply admires his father, he adores his mother. It’s a common joke among fans that Naruto and Shinachiku playfully compete for Sakura’s attention. Shinachiku tends to win the competition.
When he was young, he desired to be Hokage AND a medical ninja like his mother. He ransacked Sakura’s medical equipment and wore bandages on various parts of his body. As he grew older, Shinachiku’s skill set and interests shifted closer to Sakura’s profession. Sakura trains Shinachiku on medical ninjutsu and similar fields, but Shinachiku often loses focus with his studies. Sakura often scolds Shinachiku for slacking off on school work in favor of getting deeply involved in his hobbies.
When Naruto and Sakura came up with names, Sakura refused Naruto’s plea to name him ‘Shinachiku’. After Naruto explained he wanted to name him after the dream like genjutsu that occurred during Road to Ninja, Sakura reluctantly agreed and came to understand what the name meant to Naruto. When a young Shinachiku was bullied for his name, Sakura was always the first to reassure him that his name was an important treasure.

Shinachiku’s relationship with his father varies from fan to fan, but a constant theme throughout is Shinachiku’s distaste for Naruto’s humor, but appreciation for his father’s kindness and determination. Almost all interpretations of Shinachiku and Naruto’s relationship includes Shinachiku’s great admiration for his father.
Although he is a lot like his mother in many ways, he resembles his father more than he would ever admit. They share the desire to make things right in the world and they care deeply for their friends and family. Some fans give Shinachiku the same desire to be Hokage and follow his father’s footsteps, but surprisingly, most fans desire for him NOT to follow his father’s footsteps.
Naruto is especially fond of Shinachiku because he reminds him of his father Minato despite Naruto having very little time around his father. Naruto named Shinachiku after Menma, Naruto’s Road to Ninja counterpart. With the desire of having a family like the one he never had during the events of Road to Ninja, Naruto wished for Shinachiku to represent all the hopes he had for accomplishing that desire. The name is his good luck charm.
Hanami Uzumaki
Hanami is more often than not paired as Shinachiku’s sister. He’s generally written as very patient with her and easily gives in to her wishes. When the situation calls for it, Shinachiku can be very firm with his sister and set her in the right direction or inspire her to do the right thing.
Kizashi Haruno
Much like his mother, Shinachiku despises his grandfather’s dad jokes and despairs when his grandfather and Naruto get together and compete over the most dad of dad jokes.

Rock Lee was chosen to be Shinachiku’s sensei. Other than their shared interest in the color green, they both value hard work and the idea of making a name for yourself without special gifts or talent.

- Twin Tanto : Shinachiku wields twin tantos ‘borrowed’ from Sasuke, but he also uses his fists like his mother. While secretly looking through Sasuke’s things, Shinachiku found the tanto and decided to learn how to use them. He doesn’t know if Sasuke is aware that he ‘borrowed’ his tantos or if Sasuke ever even used them.
- Chakra Transfer Technique
- Byakugou : He achieved the Byakugou like his mother and Tsunade. Some fans draw him with a yin seal on his palm, implying he can use the yin seal for an even stronger boost in strength or slicing power when activated.
- Eight Gates : Under Lee-sensei's tutelage, Shinachiku learns how to access the 8 Gates. The Eight Gates exist in order to limit the flow of chakra within an individual's body.
- Above Average Chakra : Shinachiku was not born with any influence from Kurama so his power will never match his father. He has inherited above average chakra storage thanks to being 1/4th Uzumaki.
- Magnetic Rasengan : One of Shinachiku's many imitation jutsu. The magnetic rasengan is actually a normal rasengan in which Shinachiku changes the direction of the force inside, causing it to rapidly suck in any nearby people or material before eventually exploding and thrusting everything violently outwards. A more suitable name would be "tornado" rasengan, but Shinachiku prefers "magnetic"
- Unnamed Slicing Technique : Using a combination of his wind chakra nature, his twin tanto, and his chakra enhanced strength, Shinachiku can slice nearly everything including boulders.
Trivia
- Shinachiku's favorite color was originally orange. Many NaruSaku fans drew him with an orange jumpsuit similar to Naruto's, but as time went on, green and red became more popular.
