Naruto Uzumaki (Canon)
Naruto Uzumaki is a character in the Naruto franchise.
Profile
Personality
Naruto is characterised as boisterous, exuberant and unorthodox. He inherited his mother's verbal tic, as he ends his sentences with "Dattebayo!" (だってばよ!) when emotional. Though he responds best to competition and is not afraid to ask for assistance, Naruto is relatively naive, simple, and slow to understand principles or situations.
Growing up as an orphan who suffered years of hatred and social isolation by Konoha's villagers has influenced Naruto's character in a number of ways: he is heedless to formality and social standings, addressing certain people with nicknames instead of honourifics, although by the time of his adulthood, Naruto has slightly outgrown this trait, as he stopped referring to Lee as "Bushy Brows" and calls him by his name, while also referring to Killer B by his name instead of "Octopops".
Appearance
Naruto shares his blond hair and blue eyes with his father Namikaze Minato. His face is more similar to his mother's. His outfit usually contains orange mixed with black or blue.
Background
Orphaned on the day of his birth, Naruto grew up scorned by the villagers of Konoha and avoided by his peers. Born out of the desire to be noticed and acknowledged, Naruto dreamed of becoming Hokage.

Relationships
Sakura Haruno
Naruto and Sakura share a close and caring relationship and great teamwork as they get older.
At a young age, he developed a crush on Sakura. He revealed early on that he liked her because he admired her drive to push for what she wanted, acknowledgement (even if it was the acknowledgement from another guy).
As the series progress, his feelings for Sakura developed into love. Unfortunately, Naruto also decided he could confess to Sakura because he felt inadequate after failing to return Sasuke to the village like he promised.
While he is uncertain of Sakura’s feelings towards him, he seems content occasionally asking her on dates and just hanging out with her whether it be missions or around Konoha.
Sasuke Uchiha
Jiraiya
Although not related by blood, Jiraiya is like his grandfather. While training for the chuunin exams, Naruto stumbles across Jiraiya peeking in the womens bath. Jiraiya eventually agrees to help him train and teaches him a summoning jutsu, which Naruto later used to saved Konoha from Gaara.
After the first Konoha invasion, Jiraiya enlists Naruto to help him find Tsunade to be the new Hokage. Along the way, Jiraiya teaches Naruto how to use the rasengan.
When Sasuke leaves the village, Jiraiya tries to persuade Naruto to give up on Sasuke, but he refuses. In return, Jiraiya offers to continue Naruto’s training outside of the village. They spend around 3 years together where little is known of their adventures. At some point, Jiraiya buys Naruto his black and orange jumpsuit and teaches him various techniques to become a more formidable ninja.
When Jiraiya is declared deceased, Naruto is devastated and falls into a deep depression. Soon after Jiraiya’s death, he creates a special shrine for Jiraiya located somewhere in the forest.

Trivia
- The name "Naruto" is short for "narutomaki"
- Naruto's hobbies are pulling pranks and watering plants.
- Naruto's mother was nicknamed the "Red Hot-Blooded Habanero" while his father was famed as the "Yellow Flash." Naruto's appropriate self-styled title of "Konoha's Orange Hokage" refers to the fact that the colour orange is a mixture of red and yellow.
- In the original manga pilot, Naruto was actually a demon fox and lived his life as a human boy and the Nine-Tailed Fox that attacked the village was his father.
- Although he was never raised by Minato, Naruto seemingly inherited his father's fighting style of almost never relying on hand seals, with the exception of his signature technique.
