Kizashi Haruno (Canon)
Kizashi Haruno is a character in the Naruto franchise. Not much is known about Kizashi, he has never made an appearance in the manga.
Profile
Kizashi first appeared in the movie Road to Ninja and has made very little cameos in the anime. Kishimoto’s reason for not introducing or creating them sooner is because he believed people would be uninterested in Sakura’s story or background.
Personality
Kizashi is depicted as a typical dad. He often makes ‘dad jokes’ and rarely seems to be serious about anything. It is unknown how he and Mebuki fell in love or got together, but they both appear to love each other and Sakura very much.
Appearance
Although Kizashi’s hair has greyed, his hair is naturally a dark pink in the shape of a sakura blossom. His eyes are blue. He wears a brown yukata top and brown pants.

Relationships
Mebuki Haruno
Mebuki and Kizashi seem to share a very understanding and caring relationship. Mebuki doesn’t seem particularly annoyed by his unfunny dad jokes or it’s possible that she pretends not to hear them.
Sakura Haruno
Sakura and her father seem to be on good terms, but Sakura doesn’t seem to appreciate his overall “dad” like behavior such as his jokes and his gags. Fans speculate that Sakura has such a negative reaction to Naruto at first because Naruto’s resemblance to her dad’s behavior is nearly uncanny. Despite this, Sakura and her father seem to care deeply for each other.

Trivia
- "Kizashi" can be translated as "sprouting" (萌し).
- Mimicking the original timeline, tragedy that befell both Konoha's Fourth Hokage Minato and Kushina, Kizashi and his wife, despite having spent an unspecified amount of years of their life with their daughter, unlike Minato or Kushina, ultimately died during a battle.
- Though he did not originate from the manga, Kizashi's character and designs were created by Masashi Kishimoto himself, due to being personally involved in the story planning of Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie. Kishimoto noted that he always wanted to write them into the main series but could never find the correct time to do so. He also noted that the constant banter between the two was also something that he had intended for the pair.
